Meet The Owner

Garrett Sawyer serves as the CEO of Sawyer HR Consulting. Garrett has over 15 years of diverse executive Human Resources experience and is a subject matter expert in the areas of HR compliance and best practices, leadership development, organizational development, systems implementation, and policy and procedure development. Garrett began his career in human resources with a Richmond, VA law firm. While there, Garrett rose up the leadership ranks and became a trusted HR partner across the company. Garrett drove for significant cost savings and staffing utilization for the largest settlement program in U.S. history.


Garrett has served as an executive for a national laboratory, senior move move management company, global manufacturing company, and a large healthcare staffing organization. While at the national laboratory, Garrett was able to achieve $1 million in cost savings for recruiting costs within his first year. Garrett’s attention to detail and finding savings led to additional partnerships with executive leadership to achieve an additional $2.3 million in savings across four additional departments.


Garrett earned a B.A. in English Language and Literature from The University of Virginia and a Master in Public Administration from Strayer University. Garrett also holds his SHRM-CP certification.
